SimpliTrain has been named a winner in the Best Learning Operations System category of the Talented Learning 2026 LMS Awards: Best Enterprise Learning Systems. The awards were announced by Talented Learning CEO and Lead Analyst John Leh in October 2026.
It’s the second year running that SimpliTrain has earned this recognition from Talented Learning, after being named a Best Learning Operations System in the 2025 awards. It also follows SimpliTrain’s 2026 Training Magazine Network Choice Award in the LMS category, announced in September.
The recognition puts SimpliTrain among the systems Talented Learning sees moving the learning technology market forward. It also highlights what makes SimpliTrain different: one platform that brings together training management, a native LMS, assessments and AI-assisted authoring, so training teams don’t have to stitch separate tools together.
For the training providers, enterprise L&D teams and certification bodies who run their programs on SimpliTrain, the award confirms something they see every day. Running complex training gets simpler when scheduling, delivery, assessment and reporting live in one place.
About the Talented Learning LMS Awards
Talented Learning is an independent research and advisory firm focused on learning technology. Its annual LMS Awards help buyers find systems that fit specific audiences, use cases and business models, and recognize the platforms moving the market forward.
For the 2026 awards, Talented Learning reviewed hundreds of learning systems and recognized 66 solutions across six categories:
- Best Extended Enterprise LMS
- Best Customer/Partner LMS
- Best Employee LMS
- Best Professional Education LMS
- Best Learning Operations System
- Best Learning Tech Innovation
Winners aren’t ranked. They’re listed alphabetically in each category, because the goal is to match buyers with the right fit, not to crown a single “best” platform.
The Best Learning Operations System category recognizes platforms built for the operational side of training: scheduling instructor-led sessions, managing trainers, venues and resources, running certification programs and reporting on all of it. It is a category where a basic LMS isn’t enough, and where training providers and enterprise training teams need a system designed around how training actually runs.
Why SimpliTrain Was Recognized
In its write-up, Talented Learning notes that “SimpliTrain delivers an uncommon combination: LMS, training management, and AI-assisted authoring in a single platform.” It points to SimpliTrain’s ability to manage both instructor-led and digital learning, automate certification pathways with renewal and expiration tracking, and tailor workflows, reports and dashboards to each organization.
John Leh, CEO and Lead Analyst at Talented Learning, explained what sets the platform apart:
“SimpliTrain stands out because it combines the operational depth of a training management system with native LMS, assessment and authoring capabilities in one platform. For organizations running complex instructor-led, virtual and blended training, that unified approach can simplify scheduling, resource management, delivery and reporting without forcing buyers to stitch together multiple systems.” — John Leh, CEO and Lead Analyst, Talented Learning

A Word From Our CEO
“We built SimpliTrain because we kept seeing training teams lose hours to spreadsheets, disconnected tools and manual follow-ups. Scheduling lived in one place, the LMS in another, assessments somewhere else, and nobody had a clear view of the whole program. Being named a Best Learning Operations System by Talented Learning tells us that bringing all of that into one platform was the right call. This recognition belongs to our customers, who push us every day with real-world training challenges, and to our team, who turn that feedback into product. We’re going to keep investing in AI-assisted authoring, smarter automation and deeper reporting, so training leaders can spend less time on admin and more time on learning that makes a difference.” — Jay Kinker, CEO, SimpliTrain
Jay recently joined John Leh on the Talented Learning Show to talk about why certification programs break and how a unified platform fixes them. Watch the episode on YouTube or read the Podcast 116 show notes.
What Makes SimpliTrain Different
Most training organizations end up with a patchwork: an LMS for self-paced courses, a separate tool or spreadsheet for scheduling classes, another for assessments, and manual work to pull reports together. SimpliTrain replaces that patchwork with one connected platform.
Training management (TMS): Create instructor-led and virtual sessions, run multi-session classes, assign instructors, manage venues and resources, handle waitlists and track attendance. Virtual classes connect with Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Native LMS and LXP: Deliver self-paced, virtual and blended programs with learning paths, certification programs, gamification and a mobile app. SimpliTrain supports SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI, LTI and AICC content.
Assessments: Build and deliver assessments inside the same platform, with AI-assisted question generation, so results flow straight into learner records and reports.
AI-assisted authoring: Create courses and learning content faster without a separate authoring tool.
Certification and compliance: Automate certification pathways, renewals and expiration tracking, and issue certificates with multiple credit types.
Reporting and commerce: Use a custom report builder, scheduled reports and real-time dashboards, and sell courses with native eCommerce and coupons.
Flexible deployment: Choose multi-tenant SaaS, a dedicated instance or on-premise, with REST APIs and webhooks for integrations.
Because everything shares one data model, a class booked in the TMS, the content delivered in the LMS and the assessment score all land in the same learner record. That is what lets training teams see the full picture without exporting and merging spreadsheets.
The Results Customers See
58% less scheduling time for an IT training provider running 14 centers
84% trainer utilization within 12 months for a manufacturing L&D team
4 systems consolidated into 1 for a healthcare network operating in 9 countries
40% less admin time and 25% cost savings in the first year
Teams can go live in 2 to 3 weeks when SimpliTrain overlays existing tools, or 4 to 6 weeks for a full rollout.
What This Means for Our Customers
For training companies, extended enterprise programs, associations and academic institutions already using SimpliTrain, this award is independent validation of the platform they rely on. For organizations evaluating a new system, it is a signal that SimpliTrain has been reviewed against the market’s leading learning operations platforms and earned its place among them.
We’re not slowing down. Our roadmap focuses on expanding AI across authoring and assessments, automating more of the training back office and giving administrators deeper, faster reporting.
That work is already underway. In September 2026 we launched the SimpliTrain MCP server, which lets teams connect their own AI assistants to their training data and ask questions in plain language. SimpliTrain was also named a Pervasive Player by MarketsandMarkets in its 360Quadrants assessment of the LMS market.
