SimpliTrain Wins a 2026 Training Magazine Network Choice Award in the LMS Category

TrainingMagzine Award

SimpliTrain, the training management system with a built-in LMS for instructor-led (ILT), virtual instructor-led (vILT) and blended training, has been named a winner in the LMS category of the 2026 Training Magazine Network Choice Awards.

There is no judging panel behind this award. The Choice Awards are decided by the people who plan, run and measure training every day. Members of Training Magazine Network voted between April 28 and June 30, 2026, for the solution providers they actually work with. Winners were selected by combining the total votes each provider received with an average weighted score for effectiveness, and the results were announced on September 29, 2026.

In other words, this recognition was not pitched for. It was earned in the day-to-day work of training teams who use SimpliTrain.

Honored to Stand Alongside the Best in the Space

We are genuinely honored to be listed alongside some of the most respected names in learning technology. This year’s LMS winners include Cornerstone, Docebo, D2L, Absorb LMS, 360Learning, Litmos, Instructure, Degreed, Adobe and SimpliTrain. Many of these platforms have shaped corporate learning for well over a decade.

Seeing SimpliTrain on the same list, chosen by the people who use these systems every day, says something about where training technology is heading. Training teams don’t just want more features. They want a platform that does more while asking less of them.

❝
Training teams don’t have weeks to spend learning a new system before they can run their next session, and they shouldn’t have to,” said Jay Kinker, CEO of SimpliTrain. “That’s the whole idea behind SimpliTrain: a complete, powerful platform that feels simple from day one, backed by a team that treats service as part of the product. Being chosen by training professionals, alongside names we have long respected, tells us we’re on the right path. Thank you to every customer and trainer who voted for us.

Lorri Freifeld, Editor/Publisher of Training magazine, said of this year’s winners: “We congratulate these outstanding training solution providers for their exceptional customer service and innovative approaches.”

Why SimpliTrain Exists: To Simplify Training

Training software has an odd problem. The teams responsible for training everyone else often need weeks of training just to use their own tools. Coordinators juggle a TMS for scheduling, an LMS for content, a separate assessment tool, and a stack of spreadsheets holding it all together. Trainer schedules live in Excel. Billing is calculated by hand. Reporting for an audit can take a week.

It is not for lack of investment. According to Training magazine’s 2025 Training Industry Report, US companies spent $102.8 billion on training in 2025, up nearly 5% on the previous year, and 89% of companies already use an LMS. Yet the 2025 Training Industry Benchmark Report found that 44% of training providers still name processing course bookings as a major administrative pain. The content side of training has been digitized. The operations side often has not.

SimpliTrain was built to remove that complexity without removing capability. It runs the full training lifecycle in one platform and keeps it simple enough that a training department doesn’t need extensive training to use its training software.

A Powerful, End-to-End Product That Is Easy to Use

  • Training operations (TMS): session scheduling, trainer allocation by skill and availability, cohorts, venues and multi-location coordination.
  • Learning delivery (LMS and LXP): native courses, blended programs, a built-in virtual classroom and a native mobile app.
  • Assessments and certification: question banks, proctoring, certifications, surveys and skill tracking.
  • AI-powered course authoring: create and update courses in a fraction of the time.
  • Commerce and billing: sell courses from your own website, offer group seats with volume discounts and content subscriptions, and automate trainer payments and client billing.
  • Analytics: trainer utilization, capacity planning, revenue and profitability per program.
  • Integrations: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, HRIS and CRM systems.

Services Are a Product Too

To us, top-quality service is not an add-on. It is part of what we build. Simplicity has to extend beyond the interface into how you get started and how you are supported long after go-live.

  • Fast implementation: 2 to 3 weeks to run SimpliTrain as a layer over your existing setup, and 4 to 6 weeks for a full rollout across scheduling, billing and reporting.
  • Setup included: implementation and configuration are part of onboarding, not a separate project.
  • Migration support: we help bring your courses, users and learner records across from your current LMS, TMS or spreadsheets.
  • Ongoing support with no surprises: a team that knows your configuration, with pricing changes discussed upfront.

A Platform That Grows With You

SimpliTrain uses flat pricing per admin and instructor, with unlimited learners. Add a new client, open a new location or onboard another thousand learners, and your bill doesn’t jump. At scale, this is typically 30% to 60% more cost-effective than per-learner pricing. Teams can start with the training operations layer and add learning delivery, commerce and AI capabilities as they grow. The product grows with your business, not ahead of it.

Bring Your Own AI: Talk to Your Training Data

Here is where things get interesting. In September 2026, SimpliTrain launched its MCP server, which lets teams connect the AI assistant they already use, whether that is Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or any other MCP-compatible assistant, directly to their SimpliTrain data.

That puts SimpliTrain customers well ahead of the curve. The same benchmark report found that only 3.5% of training providers use AI extensively today, and 31% have no plans to adopt it at all.

No exports. No waiting days for a report request. No building dashboards by hand. Training leaders simply ask:

  • “List every certification expiring in the next 60 days, grouped by site.”
  • “Which sessions ran under 50% capacity last month?”
  • “Compare first-attempt pass rates across instructors.”
  • “Build a leaderboard for the sales team this quarter, weighted by assessment score.”

Their AI assistant answers, builds the dashboard or report, and analyzes the trend on the fly. Because SimpliTrain unifies TMS, LMS and LXP data, a single connection covers learner progress, assessments, certifications, instructor schedules and compliance records together. Most stacks would need several separate connections to get the same picture.

It is built for enterprise trust: the assistant respects existing role-based permissions, access is read-only by default, and every query is logged in the platform’s audit trail.

Solving the ROI Question With Technology and Services

L&D and training business leaders are under pressure to prove what training returns. SimpliTrain tackles that from two sides: technology that removes wasted effort, and services that make sure the value shows up quickly.

Here is what that looks like for SimpliTrain customers:

  • 58% less time spent on scheduling and trainer coordination at a multi-location IT training provider with 14 centers
  • 84% trainer utilization within the first 12 months for an enterprise L&D team in manufacturing
  • 4 systems consolidated into 1 SimpliTrain contract by a healthcare training network operating in 9 countries
  • 40% less admin time and 25% cost savings in the first year

Behind those numbers are the everyday problems SimpliTrain was built to solve: coordination work that often costs a full-time salary, trainer payments and client billing calculated by hand, stakeholder and compliance reports assembled from five different places, and no clear view of which programs actually make money. When those run on one platform, ROI stops being a guess and becomes a report you can pull, or simply ask your AI assistant for.

Something Is Happening at SimpliTrain

This award lands in a big year. SimpliTrain was named Best Learning Ops System at the 2025 Talented Learning Awards, launched its MCP server for AI-powered analytics in September 2026, and is now a 2026 Training Magazine Network Choice Awards winner.

And there is a lot more on the way. SimpliTrain is building dedicated solutions for coaches, more AI features for smarter training management, and much more. If this year is any sign, the next one will be even bigger.

Training teams that move early are already asking an AI assistant for answers that used to take a week of reporting. Teams still running training on spreadsheets are spending that week.
