In this course, you will learn about the hostile environment of space and why it is such a difficult and complex task to design a spacecraft that can survive in such an environment. You will also learn about the characteristics of Electromagnetic waves and how they interact with matter, a concept that will help you better understand how the electromagnetic spectrum can be used to observe or collect data on a wide range of subjects.
