API Terms of use
These API Terms of Use (“API Terms”) govern your access to and use of the APIs provided by SimpliTrain (“we”, “our”, “us”) for integrating or interacting with the SimpliTrain platform. By using our APIs, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our main Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
API Access and Credentials
- You must register for API access and obtain valid credentials (e.g., API keys or tokens).
- You are responsible for securing your credentials and all activity under your API account.
- You must not share or expose credentials publicly.
Permitted Use
You may use our APIs solely to develop applications or integrations that interact with SimpliTrain services for lawful and authorized purposes, including:
- Syncing user, course, and learning data
- Automating reporting, enrollment, or learning workflows
- Embedding LMS functionality within your own platforms
You must not:
- Abuse or overuse the API in ways that impact platform stability
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
- Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or security measures
Rate Limiting
We may apply usage limits (e.g., requests per minute/hour) to ensure fair and reliable performance. You agree to respect any published limits or headers we provide.
Excessive usage may result in throttling or temporary suspension of your API access.
Data Privacy and Security
- You must comply with all applicable privacy laws when accessing, transmitting, or storing data via our APIs.
- Any personal data accessed via the API must be handled securely and only used as permitted by users or by agreement with SimpliTrain.
Changes and Deprecation
We may update or change our APIs at any time, including deprecating older versions. We will provide reasonable notice of breaking changes via our developer documentation or email.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or revoke your API access if:
- You violate these terms
- Your integration causes harm or risk to our system
- Your access is no longer required or authorized
Ownership and IP
All rights, title, and interest in the API and underlying LMS platform remain with SimpliTrain. These Terms do not grant any license or ownership beyond the limited usage rights described herein.
